アメリカでは大学経営の収入に大きく貢献するのはプロフェッショナル・スクール（専門職大学院）です。ロー・スクールはその典型ですから、入学者の増減は経営収支に直結します。同時に、プロフェッショナル・スクールは就職するためにありますから、各ロー・スクールとも就職支援には力を入れています。就職させるために、単に就職課を学内に設置してあるといった単純な構造ではなく、高い就職率を達成するために二重三重の構造でシステムが出来上がっています。ここらへんが日本の場合と違うところで、日本の専門職大学院で就職実績の統計を開示しているスクールは本当に少数です。 故にどのスクールも就職実績が学生募集に直結することが明確に判っているだけではなく、それ以上に、教育成果の表われだと確信しています。最も就職体制に手厚いスクールは、

出国前に就職や転職の情報を仕入れるのは、諸先輩に聞くのが常套手段です。5年程業界で働いているとだいたい見当がついてくるものらしいです。ネットでは弁護士や法務の就職や転職に関する業者が何十とヒットします。
＜出国前＞その2.
MBA, LL.M., MPA, MSFinEng, MSRED, MOTなどの海外の専門職大学院プログラムに秋学期から入学が決まった合格者のためのジョッブ・フェアや説明会が開催されています。開催時期は秋学期から入学する年の4月〜6月で、都内でランダムに開催されます。企業が単独で行うこともあり、また、業者が企業を集めて行うことがあります。企業法務を考えている合格者には必須です。以下のような会社です。

他にもColumbia Overseas-Trained LL.M. Student Interview Program (“LL.M. Interview Program”)The LL.M. Interview Program is an annual program administered by Columbia Law School that is designed to bring together legal employers from around the world to meet with LL.M. students from seven of the top U.S. law schools.
LL.M. students have the opportunity to interview for permanent and training postgraduate positions with U.S. and foreign law firms. Participating schools include the University of Chicago Law School, Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, the University of Michigan Law School, Stanford Law School, the University of Virginia School of Law, and Yale Law School. The LL.M. Interview Program takes place virtually in late January. The LL.M. Interview Program Orientation will be held prior to the program.
